Background
Andalas International Public Health Conference (AIPHC) is an annual conference organized by Faculty of Public Health, Andalas University, Padang, Indonesia. The previous AIPHC in 2017 has succeed in gathering hundreds of participants consist of international researchers, lecturers, students, governments officers, practitioners, public and private committee, volunteers, etc. Following the success, the Andalas International Public Health Conference (AIPHC) will be organized again this year on October 9-11th, 2019, located in Pangeran Beach Hotel, Padang, Indonesia. In this opportunity, AIPHC would like to facilitate the talk and the move of innovation to improve the quality of people life through discussion, research presentation, seminars, publication, etc.
Rationale
The efforts to overcome the health problems have been included in the agenda of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The second goal relates to food and nutrition security, while the third goal relates to healthy and prosperous life for all ages. Health promotion efforts are also important element in the health system and proven to be efficient in responding to various existing health problems. As an efforts, development on methods and media for health promotion is needed, especially by utilizing the latest technology. These development efforts still need the competence of health workers as the key element in health promotion efforts.
Objective
The objective of the conference is strengthening health promotion and disease prevention efforts to improve the life quality and public health in order to achieve SDG’s goals.
Theme
The theme of the conference is “Advancing Health Promotion and Disease Prevention to Improve The Quality of Life For Achieving SDG’s”.
